How did you come up with the idea for this product?

The ONE Smart Piano was inspired by Ben's son, who quit piano lessons as soon as he started. As a father and serial software entrepreneur, Ben couldn't find a solution to get his son interested in learning piano, so he created a solution. The ONE was created to become a companion for one's piano journey, guiding them through the hardest of practices and bringing forth the most enjoyable musical experiences.

What makes your product special?

The ONE Light Smart Keyboard is a timeless learning tool. Rather than relying on the piano hardware to store songs and instrument sounds, the Smart Keyboard connects to your mobile device to provide you with the widest collection of sheet music, videos, and games possible. Because our piano connects to your phone, we can automatically send new updates like new sheet music and even new features, like additional instrument sounds. Piano players of all skill levels and interest will be able to find something they like, now and later.

What has been the best part of your startup experience?

We're excited to be changing an industry that hasn't yet seen the benefits of technology in decades, and even centuries. Piano lessons are among of the least favorite childhood activities, and very few people persist to play into adulthood. We're excited to be tackling this problem with our Smart Piano products, to help bring positive musical experiences to more homes. Our favorite moments are when people tell us how the Smart Piano changed has introduced music into their lives.
